The house is basically one room deep (although one upstairs room has been partitioned at some early stage to create a nursery). The staircase linking the ground and first floors is particularly fine, steeply turned and thought to be of cedar. The front doorway was remodelled, incorporating art nouveau glasswork depicting kookaburras, bluegum leaves and nuts. Many recent developments are reversible and should be reversed.
